Looking after aija
If you care for your aija products correctly you can enjoy them and keep them with you for longer. This is a guide to help you avoid any disappointment.
Prints
High heat temperatures are bad for all types of fabrics, particularly prints of any sort. Tumble drying will most definitely destroy the print and at high heat will tend to damage the garment also. This is particularly relevant to the flocked or shiny prints. Normal screenprinting is less sensitive. So our rules include never washing in hot water, or a tumble drier on any of our garments.
Organic Cotton care
Wash your organic cotton tees in cold water. Never soak or wring, squeezing dry or a gentle machine spin is preferred. Avoid bleach and optical brighteners on all printed products. Never dry coloured items in direct sunlight. Never iron directly on the print, always from the reverse side with a warm iron. All products in our organic range are preshrunk and coloured using accredited Oeko Tex 100 dyes for colour fastness and sustainability.
Polyester Viscose
Aija wrap skirts are made from a poly/viscose blend. It's wonderful because it's less likely to crease and is more resistant to colour fading than cotton. They'll hold their shape, fall beautifully when worn and stay rich in colour. The same rules of washing our organic cotton range apply however because of the beautiful flocked print.
Stains
Never experiment with tough stains. Take the item for professional cleaning.
